Taylor, Keren: - Keren Taylor is the guiding force behind WriteGirl (www.writegirl.org), a mentoring organization that links high school girls with professional women writers. A poet, songwriter, performer, and visual artist, Keren has conducted hundreds of creative writing workshops for youth and adults. A frequent speaker at conferences and book festivals, she is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, including the President's Volunteer Call to Service Award, Business & Professional Women's Community Woman of Achievement Award, Soroptomist International's Woman of Distinction Award, commendations from Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and and others. As WriteGirl's founder and executive director, she has edited and designed seven award-winning anthologies and overseen WriteGirl's expansion into a thriving community of women and teen writers and an organization that helps hundreds of Los Angeles girls annually.
