Into The Blue by Susan Rodgers
Drifters, Book TenI'm telling you that I've been lonely, Matt. I've been very lonely.Matt Kelly has been an anchor in the Keating camp right from the start. Just as he is about to leave for Belgium to watch over Jessie on her new film shoot, his wife Julie stuns him with a difficult request. Matt is forced to make a choice he thought he would never have to make, and it catapults him into a whole new world where he must measure the true meaning of love against faith, loyalty and friendship.Josh has been struggling since the tragedy that brought Jacob back into his and Jessie's lives in an unexpected, violent way. Jessie hides in her new film while Jacob finds himself surrounded by unlikely allies whose presence only serves to deepen Josh and Jessie's loneliness and struggle to remain connected.Hanging on suddenly becomes more than just trying to move forward past old hurts. As other hearts surround the Sawyers with bitterness, defeat and pain, Josh and Jessie must find a way to rise out of the ashes, and into a future where hope is more than just a dim light on a distant horizon.-

Rodgers, Susan: - Susan Rodgers' first novel A Certain Kind of Freedom was a Finalist in the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia Atlantic Writing Awards for unpublished manuscripts. Her short story from the novel of the same name, published in two anthologies, has received rave reviews, as have the Drifters novels, Susan's all-time favourite books to write. Owner/Operator of Bluemountain Entertainment, Susan is a Vancouver Film School grad. Formerly a Museum Curator, in winter Susan lives with her partner Steve and her striped cat Oliver (Lucy Maud Montgomery once said the only good cat is a striped cat) in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada. In summer, she hides in a small trailer in Darnley, P.E.I., where she writes novels, paddles kayaks, and crafts sandcastles on the beach. She makes frequent trips to Vancouver to visit her son, Christopher, where she enjoys life in the hippie city while listening to great music and sipping on good espresso.
