Dr. Goldsteen has an extensive background in health care and was formerly a director of the health policy research centers at the University of Illinois inUrbana-Champaign, University of Oklahoma College of Public Health, and the West Virginia University School of Medicine. He is co-author of Introduction to Public Health, now in its second edition.

She was Professor of Health Technology and Management in the Graduate Program in Public Health at SUNY in Stony Brook, NY.
