Intruder: by Mark Morgan
The legendary Grumman A-6 Intruder was born into battle, making its first deployment off the decks of the USS Independence into Southeast Asia in 1966. For the next three decades, it was the ""main battery"" of the U.S. fleet and the primary strike weapon.
Mark L Morgan developed an interest in Cold War systems and operations during the early 1980s. A member of a multitude of professional and history organisations, Mark has authored two other books besides Rings of Supersonic Steel including a history of his old airplane, the Grumman A-6 Intruder. He currently lives in St Louis, Missouri.
