When Sam sets off around the world in his battered old bus, all kinds of creatures want to go, too. First, he is joined by one lonely lion, then two cross cows. The animals just keep on coming until ten bothersome bees prove to be ten bees too many.
Helen Piers has published over 60 books for children, including both picture books and her series of photographic books on looking after pets. Hannah Giffard's parents were both artists. Her books Red Fox and Red Fox on the Move were both shortlisted for the Children's Book of the Year Award. In the 1990s she created an award-winning animation series called "Pablo - the Little Red Fox", based on the Red Fox books and co-produced with Keith Tutt. The series has been shown on BBC television and throughout the world, winning a BAFTA in 2000 for Best International Children's Programme. Hannah lives in Suffolk.
