It's Brave to Cry by Rebecca Robinson
Clay is a young boy who has trouble expressing his emotions. After a hard day at school, Clay's dad encourages him to feel empowered to share his feelings and tells him that this is a brave thing to do. Unconvinced, Clay sets off on an adventure to ask some of the bravest people he can think of if they ever cry, and if they do, he wants to know why! Clay learns a lot about bravery and the different types of tears - but will Clay ever uncover if it's truly brave to cry and conquer his fears?
Over 15 years ago, Artist Rebecca Robinson decided to take her fine art to an entirely new level. Creating large mural-sized paintings and cutting portions of the painting into handbag patterns is where it began. In 2001 Rebecca created the PSNOB brand (pronounced snob). The word PSNOB means the epitome of Art, Fashion, and Culture. As Rebecca became recognized in art circles, so did her creativity. Rebecca literally took her artwork off the wall and put it in the hands of the public by creating one of a kind handbags. The PSNOB handbag is more than just a purse. It's a work of art you can carry! Rebecca now gets calls from wall art collectors and fashion aficionados. As an artist, it is my duty to push the envelope and create artwork that sparks a dialog and remains timeless. In addition to an education in Fashion Design, Rebecca majored in Visual Communications at North Carolina Central University. In her spare time, Rebecca donates paintings to charity, volunteers in civic activities and mentors artists and creatives. Rebecca has been featured in dozens of magazines, newspapers, television and by the National Endowment for the Arts Rebecca's most recent art exhibition was at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, Black Creativity Exhibit, featuring her painting of legendary jazz artist Miles Davis.
