David Bedford lives near Norwich in East Anglia with his wife and daughter. After completing his PhD in biology he worked in England and the USA researching antibiotics, but gave it up in 1997 to write full-time. He spends his spare time listening to music and doing t'ai chi. Elaine Field grew up in Hertfordshire where she studied design. Elaine is designs a range of merchandise including children's wear, greetings cards and children's books. Elaine now lives in London with her husband and can be spotted cycling through the traffic on her way to circus training classes.
