This book is absolutely astonishingI wish I had been able to read it back in 2008/2009 when I was first beginning to question my sexuality. I'd recommend 'It's OK To Be Gay' to anyone, not just those who are gay or bisexual - it is an inspiring book that I think should be read by as many people as possible! It not only encourages people to embrace who they are and not hide in fear, but it allows the reader to laugh along with the humour that many of these celebrities share as well. - See more at: http://www.whensallymetsally.co.uk/entertainment/booksandwriting/review-its-ok-be-gay-celebrity-coming-out-stories/#sthash.oCQIki6D.dpuf -- Victoria Munro * www.whensallymetsally.co.uk *
Inspiring and often moving, it highlights both our great diversity as individuals and the things we often have in common. It's great to see that high-profile women's experiences are so well-represented. Another great step in the right direction. * Diva Magazine *
As a whole package, It's OK to be Gay covers all bases. The inspiring people who have contributed their stories come from all walks of life, which instantly makes this book endearing. A delightful and well put together book. I believe it will serve to help and inspire younger LGB people as well as reminding the rest of us that it can and does get better. -- Daniel Browne * www.thegayuk.com *
A great collection of short stories and should be essential reading for any young gay person, and their families for good measure. It shows how sexuality is only one element of a person and that once the coming out experience has passed, they are often much more happy. Reserve a space on your bookcase for this lovely little gem. -- Scott McMullen * http://sosogay.co.uk *
