At an early age he started painting, taking inspiration from nature, and using his imagination to give each piece a life of its own. His art can be whimsical and childlike with creative undertones that tell a story. Each piece is like a seed that sprouts and blossoms differently for each viewer. For Peter, the next step seemed obvious, he wanted to write and illustrate entire children's picture books. That is what he has done, and he absolutely loves it. Peter lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota with his wife Leslie. They have two grown children, and lovely grandchildren.
