Jack in a Box by Julia Jarman

A fantastical journey in a cardboard box! It was Tom's birthday. Tom got lots of presents. 'Ha!' Jack got the boxes. 'Huh!' Then Jack finds a special way to visit the Rocky Mountains, land on a treasure island and whoosh into space. Can boxes really be as exciting as presents?
Julia Jarman was a teacher before becoming a full-time writer of children's books. Her first book was a story she used to tell her children at bedtime, When Poppy Ran Away. Julia's Jessame stories, also for younger readers, have enjoyed years of success. Her older fiction centres on historical time-slip fiction which links in with National Curriculum History topics. She lives just north of Bedford with her husband, Peter, and two cats.
