Jack Nastyface by William Robinson
William Robinson, whose pseudonym may well have been his lower-deck nickname, volunteered for naval service in May 1805. This was in itself unusual by this time, but, rather more true to form, he eventually deserted in 1811. This books contains his memoirs of that six year period.
Little is known about William Robinson beyond the details of his naval career set out in this book, but these have been verified from surviving records.
