James Joyce by Steven Connor
Think twice before running away. That is the piece of advice Ean McMurrin wished he could have given himself before he defied his parents by leaving. Ean McMurrin was graduating high school early and making plans for college when a really old family guardian arrived to tell him his ancestors come from another world called Natura. There, in a mystical world, Ean is destined to be king and Talent Master. Enthralled with the possibility, he travels to Ireland, where a portal in the ancient Tara Stone opens at the touch of his hand, pulling Ean and an Irish teen, Adair O'Conner, to Natura. Upon arriving, Ean and Adair find themselves entering the magical Illusion forest, where blood thirsty plants, carnivorous bunnies, and assassins seem determined to stop them from reaching their destination. To save Adair and their new friends, Ean must learn to use his unique powers and come to terms with who he is to become.
