Jane And The Dragon: Three's A Crowd by Baynton Martin
This is a fast and funny junior novel based on the Jane and the Dragon animated TV series. What's so funny about playing dung wars? What's so side-splitting about armpit farts? Jane just doesn't get it. But Dragon and Gunther think it's all hilariously funny and are fast becoming the best of friends. Is Jane really that boring? Or is Gunther up to something? Somehow, Jane must find her funny bone or risk losing Dragon forever.
Martin Baynton has been a writer and illustrator since 1980 and has an international reputation for his books for children. He also writes for the stage, television, film and radio. On creating Jane, the feisty heroine, he says: "Fairy tales are tough on girls," says Martin Baynton. "Within their cruel pages, girls are only saved when a prince arrives to sweep them off their feet. Not so Jane, Jane saves herself and she most definitely does not want to live happily ever after. She wants adventure, danger and challenge!" Born in the UK, he now lives in New Zealand.
