Jeff Koons by Rainald Goetz

A celebration of the kitsch contemporary artist of the same name. Jeff Koons is a playful assemblage of language, rhythmic and hypnotic, comic and profound. Full of arresting contradictions, it travels from beyond the nightclub to the bedroom to the artist's studio to the street and beyond.
"""Jeff Koons is a wonderfully playful assemblage of language, rhythmic and hypnotic, comic and profoundIt travels from the nightclub to the bedroom to the artist's studio to the street and beyond. It's full of arresting contradictions; about being in the crowd and being alone, about casual sex and enduring love and about making something simple that has a lasting meaning. Ultimately, for me, it's about making connections, how we reach one another, get through to each other, or not, whether through sex or love or art or commerce or noise or silence or whatever."" Gordon Andersen, director of Jeff Koons, Actors Touring Company"
