Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
How I came to paint on burled wood was the start of a journey into a different form of art and I have a fellow worker to thank for it. He asked me to paint Gains Borrows Blue Boy and in return gave me a beautiful burl table. After work I would have my coffee at the table and a scene showed its self to me it was what I call my first happening. I had it named before I painted on it. Its name was to be Taming The Wind. I could see Mother Nature knelling down with an out stretched hand calming down a wild looking image who was part of the earth.
Because the burl wasn't as flat as I wanted I turned it on a lath and turned off too much grain and lost Taming The Wind. Now I have a new happening titled In Alien Skies which I liked so much that it inspired me write my first story.
