JON KLASSEN is a writer and illustrator from Canada. He has authored and illustrated three picture books (I Want My Hat Back, This Is Not My Hat, and We Found A Hat), as well as illustrating numerous other authors' works, including Mac Barnett's Sam & Dave Dig A Hole, Lemony Snicket's The Dark, and Sara Pennypacker's Pax. His books have received a Caldecott medal, two Caldecott distinctions, as well as other international recognition. He and his wife and son live in Los Angeles, California.
