The Journal of Mrs Soane's Dog Fanny, by Herself by Mirabel Cecil

The author, Fanny, is a well-heeled dog who lives at 13 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London. In this house full of mysterious treasures, Fanny and her friend Mew, the cat from next door, have many escapades, related here by Fanny in exciting and often hilarious detail. Fanny's owner, Mrs Soane and her husband, the famous architect Sir John Soane, lived at 13 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2 from 1813 until 1837. Their home is now a Museum and Fanny's grave in the Monk's Yard is much admired by visitors. Beautifully illustrated throughout by Francesca Martin using original 19th century drawings and paintings of the interiors of 13 Lincolns Inn Fields.
