Journey into Dolphin Dreamtime by Horace E Dobbs
This book is the culmination of almost twenty years' study of one of the world's most intelligent creatures. Dr Dobbs, a scientist by training, shows how dolphins can help to banish stress, and he also suggests a new approach to one of the world's gravest environmental problems. He tells the story of the wild dolphin Freddie, which haunts the Northumbrian coast near Amble, of JoJo's almost telepathic response to humans in the Caribbean, of the dolphins of Monkey Mia in Australia and their affinity with much in aborigine culture - and an extraordinary encounter with humpback whales the size of submarines.
Dobbs was a film history teacher before he embarked on his career as a comic book writer. Since writing his first graphic novel, Welcome to Paradise, Dobbs has written a number of comics inspired by late-nineteenth-century literature and history, such as Scotland Yard, Mr. Hyde against Frankenstein, Alamo, and Allan Quatermain and King Solomon's Mines, and, more recently, adaptations of works by Stefan Wul and H. G. Wells. Vicente Cifuentes is a cartoonist who was born in Albacete, Spain. He began working for the American market in 2005 by collaborating with the publishers Arcana and Alias. A few years later, he began working on Marvel's X-Men, Hulk, and New Exiles and DC Comics' Batgirl, Green Lantern, Superman, Justice League Dark, and Aquaman.
