He went on to study history and culture at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, the world's oldest and most prestigious university, where he earned bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees. He also has a PhD in Christian education and a master's degree in international religion. He travels and speaks to a wide range of audiences all around the world. He has selected a Christian name to replace his Islamic name as a representation of his new life in Christ.
