Eva lbbotson writes for both adults and children. Her books for children, with their fantastic creatures, outrageous characters, dark humour and brilliant storytelling, have much in common with Roald Dahl's. Which Witch? (0 330 26586 5) was runner-up for the Carnegie Medal and The Secret Of Platform 13 (0 330 33748 3) was shortlisted for the Smarties Prize. She lives in Newcastle.
