Keighley at War by Ian Dewhirst
In Keighley at War, Ian Dewhirst vividly describes life in a West Riding industrial town during the Second World War. Ian Dewhirst retired in 1991, after twenty-four years as Keighley's reference librarian. Author of numerous books and articles, he has also delivered over 3,000 local history lectures and has appeared a number of times on Yorkshire/Tyne-Tees television. In 1999 Ian was awarded the MBE for services to local history.
