His father once hoped that his son would take over the family business, but those ambitions were dashed when the young author mistakenly ran the tractor over his father's outhouse (luckily, his father was not inside at the time). He is the author and illustrator of The Chronicles of Kendra Kandlestar, as well as the illustrator of other picture books, including I'll Follow the Moon and The Chocolatier's Apprentice, a national hit in Canada. He enjoys traveling and, in particular, visiting castles, mazes, tombs, and temples, as well as little places buried within the cracks of life.
