Kennedy Weddings by Jay Mulvaney
KENNEDY WEDDINGS moves full circle from Joe and Rose's private wedding in the Archbishop of Boston's personal chapel, to John and Carolyn's secret nuptials in a former slave chapel on a secluded island. Jay Mulvaney takes readers to each event, with photographs, anecdotes, memories and souvenirs. The accompanying memorabilia, acquired from members of the Kennedy family themselves, private collections of friends, the JFK Library and the National Archives, have either never been published, or were published only at the time of each wedding. A spellbinding look at the happiest moments of America's first family, KENNEDY WEDDINGS is the result of years of extensive research and unprecedented cooperation of members of the Kennedy family, most especially Senator Ted Kennedy's office.
Jay Mulvaney is the author of Kennedy Weddings: A Family Album. He was executive producer of Kennedy Weddings, a Weddings of a Lifetime special for Lifetime TV. A two-time Emmy Award winning writer and producer, his career has included stints as an executive at Nickelodeon, CBS, VH1 and Discovery, but his first job was as an office boy during Senator Edward Kennedy's 1970 reelection campaign.
