Kierkegaard's Concluding Unscientific Postscript is a classic of existential literature. It concludes the first and richest phase of Kierkegaard's pseudonymous authorship and is the text that philosophers look to first when attempting to define Kierkegaard's own philosophy. Alastair Hannay is a University of Oslo Emeritus Professor of Philosophy. He is the author of a number of works, including Kierkegaard and Mental Imagery. He was the editor of the journal Inquiry, also published by Routledge, for many years and has translated numerous of Kierkegaard's works for Penguin Classics.
