Kiwi and Scorpion by Tina Cartwright
Scorpion wakes up in a land that he quickly realises is far, far away from his home. Then he meets a large fluffy bird that has big feet and a sharp, pointy beak! Is the bird a friend or an enemy? Can Scorpion find his way home?
Tina Cartwright has recently returned to New Zealand from Spain, where she taught English at a High School in Madrid. She has studied Linguistics and Archaeology and is interested in Language Change and Anthropology. She lives in Dunedin where she writes, plays guitar and works for a rare book dealer. Scott Pearson is an experienced artist and illustrator. This is also his first book with Puffin.
