When Katherine Bell learns that critically endangered animals from Africa, India, and the Middle East, are being raised on modern-day Texas ranches, the widow decides to sell her home in Alpine and purchase a house on thirty-two acres overlooking hills and valleys above the Guadalupe River in the Hill Country of Texas.
