Dick King-Smith is one of the world's favourite children's book authors. His titles for Walker include the much-loved Sophie books, and his book, "The Sheep-Pig" was turned into an Oscar-winning Hollywood film, "Babe". Dick lives in Bristol. Jill Barton did an Illustration degree at Manchester Polytechnic and has now illustrated many children's books, including "The Pig in the Pond" (Winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal). Jill lives in Devon and has three children.
