Lady & Sons Just Desserts, the by Deen

They were poor exiles, having lived in a foreign land for a dozen years. The members of the Leyden congregation of Separatists were ready to leave Holland and make a new place for themselves in the New World. This book presents the story of how this group of brave individuals made a new life for themselves in North America.

Deen is a Georgia native who grew up in Albany. She eventually relocated to Savannah, where she founded the Bag Lady catering company with her two sons, Bobby and Jamie. The Lady & Sons Restaurant, located on Savannah's historic quarter and specializing in Southern cuisine, grew out of the business. Deen is a regular guest on QVC and the author of The Lady & Son's Savannah Country Cookbook.
