A number of James' novels have been adapted into films, including Aiden Quinn and Kate Beckinsale in 1982's Haunted. The Mystery of Crickley Hall was recently turned as a three-part BBC drama. Herbert received an OBE and was dubbed a Grand Master of Horror by the International Horror Convention in 2010.
