Since 1979 she has been a successful real estate broker, and in 1988 authored the book Detour: A Hollywood Story, her New York Times bestselling autobiography. She lives in Palm Springs. Cindy De La Hoz is a film historian and author of the books Lucy at the Movies and Marilyn Monroe: Platinum Fox. She lives in Philadelphia.
