David Moody was raised on a diet of horror and pulp science fiction literature and movies in Birmingham. He worked for financial organizations before quitting his day job to make a living writing about the end of the world. He is the author of several horror books, including Autumn, which has been downloaded over half a million times since its release in 2001. He resides in the United Kingdom with his wife and a large family of daughters and stepdaughters, which could explain his interest in Armageddon.
