
The Last Gold Diggers by Harry Horse
Grandfather and his delightful, but demanding dog Roo run away again, this time to Australia; their adventures are told through the letters he sends home to his grandchild. They go in search of Uncle Vincent, last heard of prospecting for gold, but are ill-prepared for the journey and soon need rescueing themselves. All ends happily as Grandfather and Roo are reunited with Uncle Vincent - and a large seam of gold!
Harry Horse was born in Coventry. After submitting to his parents' ambitions and gaining articles in a Coventry law firm, he ran away to Scotland to pursue a career as an illustrator. He is now political cartoonist for SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY, as well asbeing involved in a wide range of other work as a writer and illustrator. He lives with his family, including his dog Roo, in Kelso, Roxburghshire.
