Following his first volume of autobiography, "The High Path", the poet Ted Walker now takes up his story in middle age. He describes his wife's long illness with cancer and his journey towards the inevitable knowledge of how much part of himself is lost through losing her.
Ted Walker is a poet and travel writer, and he has written plays for television and radio and contributed stories to the New Yorker. His first volume of autobiography, The High Path, an account of his Sussex childhood, won an Ackerly Award for Literary Autobiography.
