Last Witnesses in the Bunker by Pierre Galante

"Last Witness in the Bunker" is an account of Hitler's last days in the bunker in the basement of the Reich Chancellory with Eva Braun and his household staff. Galante bases his story on the testimony of three members of Hitler's staff, one of whom burnt the bodies of Hitler and Eva Braun after they committed suicide. They describe how Hitler and Eva became obsessed by suicide and would endlessly discuss the quickest and most painless methods; they were present at the small civil marriage ceremony and the day when Eva Braun swallowed cyanide and Hitler shot himself. Pierre Galante has written "Hitler Lives", a book about the plot by the German generals to assassinate the Fuhrer, as well as books about the Berlin Wall and General de Gaulle.
