Lazy Jack by Tony Ross
A mournful princess sits at her castle window. Meanwhile, Lazy Jack is sent out to work by his mother. On his first day he is payed a coin, but drops it on the way home, so his mother says he should have put it in his pocket, so when the next day he is payed in milk, he puts it in his pocket!
Tony Ross trained at the Liverpool School of Art. He has worked as a cartoonist, graphic designer, and art director of an advertising agency. He taught art for many years at Manchester Polytechnic. He now works as a full time author and illustrator and is one of Britain's most prolific and acclaimed children's book illustrators.
