Lazy Lama Looks at Living without Fear and Anger by Ringu Tulku Rinpoche
For most of us, expressing anger and being on the receiving end of anger are commonplace experiences. We normally don't give too much thought to how it impacts upon others or how we ourselves are affected. Here Ringu Tulku shows how fear prompts anger and how our protective self righteousness can prevent us from recognising the suffering of someone who is consumed with anger. In a lighthearted and affecting way he describes the importance of compassion in anger-bound situations, showing simple ways we can help ourselves and others to defuse the intensity of the moment through facing situations mindfully.
Ringu Tulku Rinpoche was born in Kham Lingtsang, in eastern Tibet, and was recognized by His Holiness the Sixteenth Gyalwang Karmapa as the incarnation of one of the tulkus of Ringu monastery, a Kagyü¾˜¶˜¼pa monastery in his home province. He studied with some of the most distinguished khenpos of the Nyingma and Kagyu traditions and received teachings from many outstanding masters, including Thrangu Rinpoche, Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and the Gyalwang Karmapa. He is also the author of Path to Buddhahood and The Ri-me Philosophy of Jamgon Kongtrul.
