Leading with Soul by Lee G Bolman
In this contemporary parable about the journey of Steve, a dispirited leader, the authors draw upon many of the world's major spiritual traditions, poetry and philosophy, social science teachings and their own extensive consulting experience to offer inspiration and guidance for today's embattled leaders. True to the essence of leadership, Bolman and Deal offer an invitation to participate with them in understanding the ties that bind spirituality and leadership together.
LEE G. BOLMAN and TERRENCE E. DEAL pioneered the study of business life and learning in their best-selling book, Reframing Organizations (Jossey-Bass, 1994). Bolman is an author, teacher, and consultant who currently holds the Marion Bloch Chair in Leadership at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He consults worldwide to corporations, public agencies, universities, and schools. Deal is professor in education at Vanderbilt's Peabody College and a consultant to business, health care, and military, educational, and religious organizations worldwide. He is coauthor of ten books, including the best-selling Corporate Cultures (1983, with A. A. Kennedy) and Managing the Hidden Organization (1994).
