Learning to Pray by Mother Mary Clare Slg
As this title implies, praying is something that has to be learned, if it is to serve Gods purpose in our lives. Prayer begins with God whose invitation into a living relationship with him calls forth from us a continuing response to his redemptive love, which is always at work in the world.
Mother Mary Clare SLG (1906–1988) entered the religious life in 1930, and was Reverend Mother of the Community of the Sisters of the Love of God from 1954 to 1973. She was highly regarded by Anglicans and Roman Catholics alike as a spiritual teacher in the tradition of the Carmelite saints.
