Lecture Notes on Ophthalmology by Bruce James
Concentrating on core information needed by students, this text integrates basic structure and functions of the eye with clinical ophthalmology. It provides a consistent approach to individual diseases, and has been revised to include current views on ophthalmic disease and treatments.
COMMENTS ON 8TH ED The Lecture Notes series has always been a useful source for revision and this ophthalmology edition is not an exceptionWith an excellent balance of text, diagrams and colour photographs this book gives the reader an overview of the most important features of ophthalmology...I would definitely recommend it. Eye News ... the choice of subjects and depth of coverage reflects incidence and importance in ophthalmic practice and student examinations. Further, Prof Bron is one of the country's most repected academics - from this point of view he adds weight and value to this core text... Senior House Officer I have used this book in the past and probbaly will do prior to finals and I think it is very good, most suitable for undergraduate learning I throughly support the publication of the new edition of this text. It has proved a success in the past and with the addition of revision questions, learning objectives and clinical scenarios/presentations, will continue to be so. Student Reviewer - Leicester University A concise well paid out text with good photographs and explanatory diagrams, makes this tricky subject just a little more bearable. At this reasonable price, I wish that this book had been around last year when I bought a lesser quality text for almost double the price and hardly ever opened it. Only the short sighted would give this book a wide berth. Really worth a look. Surgo - October 97
