The skill of legal research is central to the everyday work of lawyers. The effective lawyer must be able to update legal knowledge constantly in the most efficient way. This book describes three stages in the process of legal research: planning,implementation and presentation. It details the standard research bibliographies, both library and computer based, and introduces the reader to the standard practitioners research works. It is illustrated throughout with diagrams and practical exercises. The text has been fully revised for the second edition and includes, in particular, up to date information on the use of computer databases and the internet.
