Leningrad Deception by Richard Lyntton
From Richard Lyntton, Amazon #1 international bestselling author of The Deception Series, comes a gripping Cold War espionage thriller featuring British tank commander, journalist, and trained killer Jack Steele. The Berlin Wall is about to fall. But powerful men will kill to stop it. As East and West dare to hope for peace, Steele becomes entangled in a deadly conspiracy stretching from the Soviet Union to the Vatican. When a Soviet diplomat is murdered and a Vatican peace initiative comes under threat, he uncovers a shadow network determined to keep the Cold War alive. From Leningrad and Stockholm to London, Venice, and Capri, Steele races to prevent a plot that could plunge Europe back into chaos just as freedom seems within reach. Inspired in part by the true story of President Ronald Reagan's secret "Deception Committee" and the covert strategy behind the West's Cold War victory, Leningrad Deception is a fast-paced international spy thriller of espionage, assassination, betrayal, and geopolitical intrigue.
