Lenny Makes a Wish by Paula Metcalf

Lenny the rabbit is resting beside a pond when he spots a little fish all by herself. They play together, but will they be able to stay friends when rabbits live on land, and fish live in water? With fun to read aloud rhyming text and lovely illustrations from Paula Metcalf, this is a celebration of the enduring power of special friendships.
Paula Metcalf studied at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, graduating with a BA Hons in Illustration and French (First Class) and an MA in Children's Book Illustration (Distinction). In 2007, she was the first illustrator-in-residence at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, and since 2008 she has been a visiting lecturer on the highly regarded Children's Book Illustration MA at ARU Cambridge. Paula loves being an illustrator because drawing and writing make her happier than nearly anything else she can think of. She also gets to spend all day with her dog, Walter, who often tries to sneak onto her lap while she's working.
