He has done numerous presentations for teachers on new ideas for middle and high school physical education. Dr. Darst's current research interests have focused primarily on fitness routines and activities for middle school students. He has written and edited 10 textbooks and more than 50 research/professional journal articles. Darst is a co-author with Robert Pangrazi on the popular textbook Dynamic Physical Education for Secondary School Students, now in its fourth edition.
