She is a graduate of NUI Galway and All Hallows College, Dublin, with postgraduate degrees in Pastoral Theology and Cross-Professional Supervision. She teaches on spiritual/soul pain for the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Palliative Care) at NUI Galway.
