Mary Street Alinder is an independent academic who specializes in photography from the twentieth century. Aside from her works, she has curated shows all around the world, including the 1987 de Young Museum blockbuster and a 2002 Adams Centenary exhibition. Alinder has given talks all over the world, from the National Gallery in Washington, DC, to the Barbican Centre in London, to the Shanghai Culture Center in China. She is a resident of Northern California.
