STEPHANIE BROWN, PhD, is the Director of the Menlo Park, California-based Addictions Center. She also developed and directed the Stanford University Medical Center's Alcohol Clinic. Dr. Brown is a licensed psychologist with nearly 25 years of clinical experience, a researcher, consultant, and frequent lecturer in the subject of alcoholism. He is an internationally recognized authority on the treatment of alcoholics and their families. Treating Adult Children of Alcoholics: A Developmental Perspective, also published by Wiley, is her first book.
