The Life of Trust by George Muller
George M ller prayed about everything and expected each prayer to be answered. His meticulous records are contained in A Narrative of some of the Lord's Dealings with George M ller, a work that runs to four volumes. H. Lincoln Wayland has condensed many of these details to produce very readable single volume that also highlights insights into M ller's hidden life with the Lord. For example, May 7: It has pleased the Lord to teach me a truth, the benefit of which I have not lost, though now more than fourteen years have since passed away. The point is this: that the first great and primary business to which I ought to attend every day was, to have my soul happy in the Lord. The first thing to be concerned about was not how much I might serve the Lord, how I might glorify the Lord; but how I might get my soul into a happy state, and how my inner man might be nourished.
