Lincoln Cathedral by Pam Hartshorne
Lincoln Cathedral, in its commanding location, is much more than a priceless gem of ecclesiastical architecture. Today the Cathedral not only continues to serve its local and regional community as it has done for nearly ten centuries, but also projects its faith mission worldwide. This richly illustrated publication offers a fascinating panorama of Lincoln Cathedral past and present and reveals its deeply entrenched place in the history of England. Lincoln Cathedral explores the Cathedral's dynamic position as a living entity, how it is sustained and renewed as a vibrant centre of worship and mission by a community of volunteers and skilled staff. 'This sumptuous book presents a pilgrimage panorama of its past ten centuries, and its present of worship and mission by a community of clergy, staff and volunteers.' - Lincolnshire Life
