Richard Collingridge was born in Hammersmith in London and studied illustration before going to live in Paris for four years. He has a website and regularly blogs. He has always enjoyed creating different worlds and universes and after illustrating book covers and other people's stories he decided to put some words next to his own drawings. His acclaimed debut picture book When It Snows came out in 2013. Lionheart is his second book.
