But when she sees the sea for the very first time, Little Bean soon changes her mind.John Wallace grew up in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, where he attended De Aston School, before going on to read Theology at St Catharine’s College at Cambridge University. He worked as a cartoonist on The Daily Gleaner in Kingston, Jamaica in 1987, and also worked at the British Museum, where he drew Oriental objects at a 1:10 scale in 1989.
